The book is really difficult to understand, McLuchan seem to go everywhere. It was hard for me to understand what he is really truly trying to tell us. The quote he said in page 10 by A.N. Whitehead, “Adventure in Ideas, the last two lines really stood out to me.”Insistence on clarity at all cost is based on sheer supersttion as to mode in which human intellgence function. Our reasoning grasp at straws for premise and float on gossamers for deduction.” This quote came from someone other than him, and to me the meaning is that people work based on what they believe and this help humanity grow, as curiousity is how most things are discovered. McLuchan is also spot on on how technology will impact humans as it advances. People now in days can’t live a day without technology, even if people were to go outside they are still on their phones. Being on technology has become the norm, it hard to even imagine a world without the technology that we have. The whole book is full will very interesting ideas that I never have even thought of, it really gives a new point of view on how life is. Imagining how life with be in the future where all the technology will be everywhere, even probably on our body, in a endeavor to make humanity better. I would like to what cause McLuchan to believe that humanity will be to entice with the very technology that we created. To me humans are just like the machines we make, in a way people and machines can’t live separately, so it’s inevitable that humans and technology will be like one in the future.
